Our History
JWH Transport was established in 2007 by Nicholas Hann. Prior to JWH being formed, Nicholas joined the United States Marine Corps in 2002. During his tour of duty, he was deployed to Iraq in 2005. While in Fallujah, his unit was responsible for delivering equipment across the Al Anbar Province.
After the Corps, Nicholas came home to Rome, Georgia to work for his father Johnny Hann Sr. During this valuable experience, Nicholas took over JWH Logistics, a freight brokerage company, hauling goods across the lower 48. This ultimately lead for the need of an asset based company and JWH Transport was created.
What does JWH stand for?
When thinking of a name for this company I wanted something that had a real meaning not only for me and my family but for the community of truckers here in Rome, GA. From my days as a small child riding in the doghouse of an old cab over Pete to the Owner Operator who has been down on his luck needing someone to believe in them and help out, my father Johnny W. Hann has been a great father, mentor, and guide to a lot of people in this industry. The JWH is dedicated to this man.
